Ward 4 Councilor in Chiredzi District under Masvingo Province, Francis Moyo, has responded to the demands of the community to partner with them to do a clean-up campaign in the area. Moyo pledged shovels, racks, a refuse collection truck and pints of milk to members of the Community Action Committee (CAC) during a proposed clean –up exercise to be held on Thursday the 28^th of April 2016. During previous meetings supported by ERC, the issue of service delivery, especially non-collection of refuse around the Ward dominated the discussions with citizens saying it’s now a health ticking time bomb. CACs are community based volunteers empowered by ERC to mobilize citizens to demand accountable local leaders within 14 selected districts across Zimbabwe.
